Dar es Salaam Diary: Tanzanian Entrepreneurs

Dar es Salaam Diary: Tanzanian Entrepreneurs

Our work here continues. Over the last few days, we have been interacting with entrepreneurs with small and medium sized businesses, and assessing the results they have achieved through participation in the economic development programme.

Here is Walter, who owns a furniture manufacturing concern. These days, he is using coconut wood to produce household furniture.

The trip has also included visiting Saba Saba, which is a large trade fair organized by the Tanzanian Government. Today, we visited project stakeholders in Morogoro, a hilly town approximately 3 hours from Dar. Tomorrow morning (in a few hours!), we fly to Zanzibar to work with a selection of enterprises from the tourism sector. The routine is grueling, but well worth it. More details to come.
